Exploring the Lived Experiences of Women of Color
Brown Girl Project is an independent peacebuilding research initiative grounded in participatory, community-centered inquiry.

The project convenes facilitated conversations with women of color to explore lived experience across identity, culture, social cohesion, and trauma-informed psychosocial dimensions.

Brown Girl Project creates spaces for reflection, dialogue, and collective inquiry. Our work documents insights from participants and shares them back to communities to support understanding and action.

Why are we researching this?
Our preliminary thematic report presents early insights from participant discussions, highlighting key patterns, shared experiences, and emerging needs within the communities we work with. This report is intended to inform programmatic decisions, foster collaboration, and guide further research initiatives.
This work is exploratory and ongoing, with findings informing future reports, public resources, and collaborative projects.
